How it works

  1. Pick your rotation — or type your own pattern if yours is unusual.
  2. Choose your team (A, B, C or D — also called platoon, shift, line or crew).
  3. Enter a date you know and tap which day of the cycle you were on. Every other date follows from that.
  4. Save it: add it to Google, Apple or Outlook calendar, download a printable PDF, or copy a link for your family.

Why people use ShiftRotations

  • Built for real rotations. Every built-in pattern is checked so that exactly one team covers each shift every day — the same way your employer plans it.
  • Your calendar never runs out. The phone calendar file repeats your rotation, so you add it once.
  • Private. Nothing to sign up for. Your schedule is not stored on our servers.
  • Hours at a glance. See shifts, hours and days off for the whole year, plus your next five shifts.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a shift rotation calendar?

Pick your rotation, choose your team or platoon, enter a date you know and tap which day of the cycle you were on. Your whole year appears instantly, and you can add it to your phone calendar, print it or download a PDF.

Can I add my shifts to Google Calendar or my iPhone?

Yes. Tap "Add to phone calendar" to download a calendar file (.ics). Open it on your phone, or import it in Google Calendar under Settings → Import. The file repeats your rotation automatically, so it never runs out.

Is this shift calendar free?

Yes. There is no sign-up and nothing to install. Your settings stay in your browser and in the share link — we do not store your schedule.

What if my rotation is not listed?

Choose "Custom rotation" and type your cycle one letter per day: D for day, N for night, X for a 24-hour shift and O for off. For example DDNNOOOO is a 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off rotation.

How do I find out which team or platoon I am on?

Your employer or department assigns it — often called A, B, C or D shift, or a line or crew number. If you know a date you worked, pick any team and adjust the cycle day until that date shows as a work day.
